There are 4 types of Sentences in English Language. They are<\/p>\n

  1. Assertive Sentence or Declarative Sentence<\/li>\n
  2. Imperative Sentence<\/li>\n
  3. Interrogative Sentence<\/li>\n
  4. Exclamatory Sentence<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Assertive Sentence<\/h2>\n

    An assertive Sentence or Declarative Sentence is a sentence which makes a statement or expression or an opinion. If said in another words it simply makes a declaration. An Assertive sentence ends with a period.<\/p>\n

    Eg:<\/p>\n

    1. I want to be a photographer. (Makes a statement)<\/li>\n
    2. My Friend is a really good photographer. (Expresses an opinion)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      2. Imperative Sentence<\/h2>\n

      An Imperative Sentence gives a command or makes a wish.<\/p>\n

      Eg:<\/p>\n

      1. Please Come in.<\/li>\n
      2. Shut Up<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        3. Interogative Sentence<\/h2>\n

        An interogative Sentence asks a question. This Types of question usually begins with who, what, where, when, why, how or do and ends with a question mark.<\/p>\n

        Eg:<\/p>\n

        1. When are you going to Bangalore?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Interogative Sentences can be classified into two. They are<\/p>\n

          Wh questions and Yes or No Questions<\/p>\n

          Wh Questions<\/h3>\n

          Wh questions are the questions that begin with Wh\u2026 like What, Where, Who, When and Why.<\/p>\n

          Eg: Why are you late today?<\/p>\n

          Yes or No Questions<\/h3>\n

          Yes or No questions are the questions whose answers are either a Yes or a No.<\/p>\n

          Eg: Did you bring Lunch Today?<\/p>\n

          4. Exclamatory Sentence<\/h2>\n

          An Exclamatory Sentence is a sentence that expresses great emotions such as excitement, surprise, happiness and anger and this type of sentence ends with an exclamation point.<\/p>\n

          Eg: It is too dangerous to climb that mountain.<\/p>\n
